About

Hello there! My name is Sandra, I’m an ESL teacher, wife, mum of two children and I live in the north of Portugal. I will be sharing things that I love and inspire me: photography, travel and mindfulness. I use a Canon EOS 350 D camera and my mobile phone too.

    • Hello ! I am so happy to know that you like it! I am also new here πŸ™‚ I can’t quite explain the protocol. We all sometimes post very similar photos, that happens with plants, flowers, skies, sunsets… That particular photo you are showing is quite similar to mine, that’s true, though it’s not the same (yours has a broken branch πŸ™‚ ) What I think we should do is always give the credit to the owner of the photo. I always try to post my photos but I’ve posted a photo that’s not mine and I’ve mentioned it. I am going to share with you what I did. You can write something like this: https://mytravelness.wordpress.com/2016/02/06/time-an-ancient-village-or-a-spaceship/
      I hope this helps! ❀

Oh, I don’t know the scientific name of that plant, but my mother calls it white palm tree πŸ™‚

      • Thanks. I definitely give credit for someone else’s photo. I didn’t know a thing about copyrighting and all that so had to read up. Mostly, I love the feeling of connection with someone on the other side of the planet who sees and enjoys the same thing I do! And I like acknowledging that. So is putting the link to my picture/post a good way to do that? White palm tree…I love it! I saw mine outside Atlanta, Georgia on such a stunning blue day, I had to stop and shoot!!

      • Aww, isn’t it amazing? Being here now so distant from each other talking about something that connect us? I love this! πŸ™‚ Atlanta? That’s amazing! Do you know where my photos were taken? Miles away from you!! Just outside my door, on a nearby street, in my city in Oporto, Portugal.

      • I know, truly one of the gifts from the sometimes questionable universe of the internet. I figured, from some of your other info, you were pretty far away. My best friends live in Madrid which is as close as I’m likely to get to you…ever.
I live in the Pacific Northwest and I love it here! That trip to Atlanta was a few years ago.
