Castro Monte Mozinho, Penafiel – north of Portugal *
This ancient Roman village is considered the biggest in The Iberian Peninsula. It was built in the first century AC and it was discovered around 1943. Its extension (200 thousand m2) and survival in time are very unusual. I’ve recently visited this amazing place with my students and took some pictures. Here they are.
Any resemblance with the Star Wars Han Solo spaceship is pure coincidence!
